It is the greatest compliment
when a client
shares with us
their amazement
at how well we listened to them and
how we created
exactly what they had envisioned -- or better yet,
more than they had envisioned.
At Carol Bradford Design (CBD), we listen to
you, our valued client. Most business owners
know what they want; our goal is to take your
ideas and make
them reality.
The steps below
summarize how we
achieve that
goal:
1) With all design projects, an initial interview with the client takes place.
This interview is to determine the scope of the project.
2) CBD then submits an estimate to the client for approval.
3) Once
the estimate is approved, a second interview takes place to discuss the
design, colors, types of fonts, etc., that the client prefers.
4)
The next meeting
is usually
in-person and is
a design
presentation
where
approximately
three designs
are presented to
the client.
During that
meeting, the
design
parameters are
typically
decided and a
timeline is
established.
5) With websites, a working document is created in outline form. The first proof is an outline of the site including all of the pages. From there, the client or CBD starts writing the text for the pages in the outline. Once the text has been approved, the website can be created.
CBD will
then upload a page
to the client's domain with a message stating that the site will be coming soon. At a hidden domain, the test site will be uploaded. This enables the client to see the site before it is "live" and to make any changes needed until the final is approved and moved to the live site.
With projects other than websites, proofs are sent to the client until the final has been approved. If it is a print project, CBD will manage the print process.
We have found this process to work efficiently
for our clients. It's imperative to have the
client's input throughout the design and
implementation process. |
